Love it up here . It's a nice relaxing campground with hiking and a lake. It's like going to the mountains without the drive.

We normally love coming here but this time was terrible. The bathrooms and showers were closed all weekend because of a mechanical issue and the camp sites where packed. The camp host was the rudest person we have ever dealt with at any camp we have stayed at.
Went just to ride through before we booked for weekend..the Ranger on duty was overboard Rude...would never stay there due to that...
Improved camping lots in Uwharrie National Forest, close to the lake and OHV trails. The facilities were renovated in January 2017, and are fairly nice. Bring your own soap for the lavatory. Nice firepit and grills. Great choice for a weekend of four wheeling.
